Swim Team to Resume Practice on August 11

After a wonderfully productive year, the Southern West Virginia Stingrays will resume practices on Monday, August 11, 2014 in anticipation of the beginning of the fall season!

We would like to invite everyone interested in competitive swim to come out and observe a practice - you don't even have to get wet! - and see what it's all about! The 2014 - 2015 season looks to be an exciting one, and we'd love to have new members join in on the fun!

Come out on Monday, August 11 at 4:30 PM to the Chief Logan Rec Center and watch the team swim, and let Coach Kristi answer any questions you may have. Make the upcoming school year a healthy one, and SWIM LIKE A STINGRAY!

Making their home at the Chief Logan Recreational Center since 2012, the Southern West Virginia Stingrays Swim Team competes in meets across the state as an affiliate of HYCAT. The team is open to swimmers aged 8 to 18, and always looking for new team members. If you would like more information about how to join, please follow the link in the "Site Navigation" section.

The sport of competitive swim is energetic, exciting, and fast-paced. Swimmers find their endurance tested not only in meets, but in practice, as well. Parents and fans are on the edge of their seats as races are often decided by tenths of a second.

Come join the excitement of competitive swim, whether it be as a swimmer, a swim parent, or just a fan, and as our team members say, SWIM LIKE A STINGRAY!
